1. Power Cycle the Printer for HDP5000 Error 112 Card Jam
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug it for 30 seconds.
- Then plug it back in and turn the printer on.
2. Check for a Jammed Card
- Open the printer’s front cover.
- Remove the ribbon cartridge.
- Look for any stuck cards inside and gently remove them.
3. Examine the Input Hopper and the Output Area
- Make sure cards are not sticking together in the input hopper.
- Ensure the card thickness dial is set correctly (typically 30 mil).
- Remove any misfed cards from the output area.
4. Ensure the Rollers are thoroughly cleaned
- The use a cleaning card to remove dirt from the rollers.
- If rollers are worn out, they may need replacement.
5. Reinitialize the printer.
- Once cleared, press the Pause/Reset button.
- Now run a test print.
