Steps for Routine Cleaning:
- Open the Input Hopper: Remove all cards from the input hopper.

- Prepare the Cleaning Card: Remove the protective cover from the adhesive side of the FARGO cleaning card. If your printer has a magnetic encoder, do NOT remove the paper strip at the bottom of the cleaning card.
- Place the Cleaning Card in the Input Hopper: Place the adhesive cleaning card into the empty input hopper, just as you would load a regular card.
- Initiate the Cleaning Process:
- Via Printer Driver (Recommended):
- On your computer, go to Start > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the FARGO DTC1500 printer icon.
- Select Printing Preferences.
- In the Printing Preferences dialog, click the Toolbox tab.
- Select the Clean Printer tab.
- Click the Clean button at the bottom of the dialog.
- Via Printer Display (if applicable):
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Toolbox or Maintenance menu.
- Look for the Clean Printer option and select it.

- Completion: Once the cleaning cycle is complete, the cleaning card will be ejected into the output hopper or reject hopper.
- Dispose of the Cleaning Card: Do not reuse the cleaning card.
- Reload Supplies:
- Reload the ribbon and the cleaning roller (if it was removed) into the ribbon drawer.
- Close the ribbon drawer.
- Reload the cards into the input hopper.
- Close the input hopper.
